In the 1880's Melbourne Accommodation was magnificent
and Melbourne was known as Marvellous Melbourne. It was a time when
many of our grand and eloquent buildings were being built. It was a
time of great prosperity, when cost was not really a criteria which
might dampen architectural spirit. Thank God for that! Melbourne is
now home to some of the most beautiful and most spectacular architectural
feats in our country. When you visit Melbourne take the time to hunt
out some of these marvellous gems. You won't have to look far. If you're
lucky, or clever, you may even find yourself residing in one of them.
Today, many of these old and elegant buildings have been turned into
accommodation venues. Hotels and apartments with loads of old world
character. If old world architecture is not your thing then you have
no need to worry. Accommodation in Melbourne is extremely varied. There
is something to suit everyone's fancy and afford with everyone's budget.
Melbourne accommodation is diverse and plentiful. From homely, backpacker
hostels to 5 star palatial delights. Melbourne accommodation is simply
great. This city has come a long way since the marvellous 1880's. It
is now cosmopolitan and chic; a city which wears it's soul on it's sleeve.
Melbourne is welcoming and will afford all visitors a wonderful stay.
Apart from the renowned architecture, there are gardens galore, sensational
markets, cafes which have just the best coffee and so many restaurants
with flavours from all over the world. Staying only one night in Melbourne
would be a real shame. You need to spend at least a few days here to
begin to appreciate what is on offer. Have a look at some of these photographs
of Melbourne. Melbourne is a very liveable
and a very safe city and much fun is to be had at night. Pubs and hotels
of all description, Crown Casino in Southbank, the Docklands, variety
and world class shows are constantly engaging the public and if none
of this is your cup of tea then perhaps you would just like to take
in the city's beautiful, night scenes. Accommodation in Melbourne -
nothing like it. And, if you're considering a trip further afield then
the rest of Victoria is waiting for you. The Great Ocean Road is one
of the most visited tourist destinations in Australia. Who hasn't heard
of the 12 Apostles and at only a three hour drive from Melbourne there
is really no excuse not to go there. This region incorporates the Great
Otway National Park and is home to some fabulous beaches, temperate
rainforests with waterfalls galore and a coastline which is just so
spectacular. The accommodation along the Great Ocean Road is, as you
would expect, diverse and plentiful. Travelling further inland is quite
simply, a delight. As you journey to the top of Victoria which is bordered
by the famous Murray River you'll pass by countless inland towns and
regions which will invariably invite you to stay a while. Wine regions,
goldfields and some great high country all demand attention. So many
places to visit. For information regarding accommodation in Victoria's
